Busy, Busy, Busy …

June 10, 2008 · Leave a Comment

Summer has given more opportunity for the Canadians that live in and around Frankfurt, Germany to be even more busier than ever.

We’re trying to all make it to a meet up at least before June ends. Stay tuned for dates and location.

One Canadian, two Canadian, three Canadian, more???

It’s been months since we had a cafe meet up and it looks as if we’re certainly due for one soon. I must get in touch with the Canucks to see where they all are. Augh, too little time with too many things to do.

Busy Canucks ..

April 2, 2008 · Leave a Comment

I can’t believe that March has come and gone. We didn’t even have time to set up a ‘meet-up’ for March and it’s already April.

Two of our Canucks have settled in quite well, after experiencing a few bumps in the road. Happy to say, they are breezing through their acclimating stage and have been making their way in and out of Frankfurt fairly smoothly.

Jeanette has already been to Madrid, Spain for a training course from her company and Mona and Theresa were able to meet her for some sight seeing and R & R.  Mona, our French Canadian has been taking time to travel to other parts of Europe. Her destinations include, Austria, Madrid and soon Holland.

Theresa, a well seasoned Canuck that has been living in Frankfurt for a few years now has also been busy with work but of course, she too is making sure that she balances work with play.

We have yet to meet Kevin and Mark!  Oh and Roberta too.

I, on the other hand have immersed myself with the wonderful world of ‘teacherhood’.

I now understand why teachers have the summer off. It is so that they can prepare for their classes in September. WOW, I never knew how much time was spent preparing for Business English Language lessons.

I’m not even a teacher of English so that in itself is quite a learning experiencing for me.

I have been so busy that I did not even make it to our February meet up. Ummm, actually, I take that back. I was actually kidnapped and taken somewhere unexpectedly early and thus, could not make it to the meeting. Oh well.

I hope we can somehow arrange for everyone to meet up in April.

Cheers!
